Anthony Wu
Anthony Wu is one of Canada’s premier Asian Art specialists and specializes in the identification, appraisal and detailed research of Asian artworks. With an emphasis on Chinese art and antiques, including Chinese porcelain and Chinese paintings, Anthony also has a depth of knowledge with regards to the arts of Japan, Korea, the Himalayas, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Islamic World. With more than 15 years of experience and previously leading the Asian Art department at two Canadian auction houses, Anthony has sold more than 25 million CAD worth of Asian Art and helped to set a number of Asian Art auction records in Canada.
While based in Toronto, Anthony frequently travels between Heffel offices across Canada to assist clients. Anthony is a regular contributor to Orientations Magazine in Hong Kong, and on the board of directors with the Canadian Association of Personal Property Appraisers. Anthony has a B.A. and M.A. in Art History from the University of Toronto. He is a Certified Member with the Appraisers Association of America and is USPAP compliant. He is fluent in Cantonese Chinese, and has a working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese and French.
