Certificate of authenticity from Doris Shadbolt, 1993, in which she states "The free handling of pigment and use of the brush as well as the colour are consistent with work she did during or following her stay in France (1910-1911) when she made contact with French Post-Impressionism. I should date the painting around 1912-13."
