PROVENANCE
The Fine Art Auction, Lunds, March 1, 2011, Lot 81
Private Collection, Victoria

This painting was sold at Lunds auction house in Victoria in 2011 as "Portrait of a Young Lady, possibly Emily Carr." Emily Carr stayed with the Frames in Vancouver when she returned from France in 1911. The inscriptions on the back of "1912" and "Ms. E." are possible clues as to the identity of the sitter.
