A Distinguished Private Collection, Vancouver
Of elegant baluster form, the body is decorated with a scene of the renowned literati gathering between the Nine Elders of Xiangshang, all appreciating a scroll painting. The reverse features an inscriptive poem of Zhao Mengfu (1254–1322), along with several faux collector seals of the Qianlong Emperor. The base bears a double-square Qianlong mark in red and gold.
