The ivory inro with raised mother-of-pearl and assorted inlay design of a realistic rooster and hen perched on a large branch with smaller sprigs of florals along the edges, the reverse with a single songbird on a branch of variegated foliage. Base with lacquer inlay inscription Shibayama. With a manju form ivory netsuke decorated with Shibayama birds and an ivory ojime decorated with Shibayama cherry blossoms.
